Healthcare workers have been our nation's heroes since the pandemic began in March 2020. Many of you had never been in this situation before. Those of us who have been military docs already know this drill. You get a lot of people telling you “thank you for your service” when they see you in your uniform. Lots of businesses offer you discounts, occasionally someone buys your lunch anonymously, and you learn to start asking, “Do you offer a military discount?” This time, it's healthcare workers who have gotten to enjoy and share the benefits of a thankful country.

Below is a big long list of companies that are still offering discounts for healthcare workers, like physicians, dentists, APCs, and other healthcare professionals who read this blog.

Hopefully, you can find one or two discounts you can use for yourself or for a loved one. (Specific details to the discount can be found at each of their links.) But even if a company isn't listed, don't be afraid to ask for a healthcare discount. Note that many of these companies use SheerID or ID.me to verify your professional status. Others require you to show a badge. Still others use the honor system. The more you save, the more verification you'll be asked to provide.
