Healthcare workers have been our nation's heroes since the COVID pandemic started in March 2020. Many physicians had never been in this situation before. Those of us who have been military docs already know this drill. You get a lot of people telling you, “Thank you for your service” when they see you in your uniform. Lots of businesses want to save you money, occasionally someone buys your lunch anonymously, and you learn to start asking, “Do you offer a military discount?”

But even though the pandemic is officially over (at least in the eyes of the federal government), healthcare workers have also gotten to enjoy and share the benefits of a thankful country.

Discounts for Doctors and Healthcare Workers by 2023

Below is a long list of companies that are still offering discounts for healthcare workers, like physicians, dentists, APCs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals who read this blog.

Hopefully, you can find one or two discounts you can use for yourself or for a loved one. (Specific details of the discount can be found at each of their links.) But even if a company isn't listed, don't be afraid to ask for a healthcare discount. Note that many of these companies use SheerID or ID.me to verify your professional status. Others require you to show a badge. Others use the honor system. The more you save, the more verification you'll be asked to provide.

The following list is by no means exhaustive. There are hundreds of companies offering discounts for healthcare workers and first responders, so if you don’t see the specific brand you’re looking for below, be sure to check Sheer ID and ID.me for additional discounts. We've started printing this list every year around Thanksgiving, so even though you might have seen it before, it's always good to have a reminder that some of your favorite brands are willing to save you some money because of your occupation.

Hopefully, it'll be worth it to save some money at a time when people are still really appreciative of what we do.
